The GSD Team started in 2013, and since then, they have been coming to Haiti at least twice a year to build relationships, teach and share knowledge, and finally, at the end of the year, perform surgeries and procedures. Their main goal is to restore human dignity. Since the group’s inception, they have provided over 200 HoLEP surgeries and over 250 general surgeries at St Luke Hospital. The team is determined and committed to continuing this partnership with Haiti, and hopes to build partnerships with other countries in the near future.St Luke Hospital received a delegation from GSD Healthcare - showing a medical procedure

St Luke Family Hospital, was the first hospital in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area to receive Covid-19 patients and continues to do so. Throughout the pandemic, we also continued to ensure the availability of urgent care unrelated to the pandemic.

This year, the training focused on the management of respiratory distress.During the 2 days, the GSD team were able to teach the participants the skills and techniques necessary to manage patients with respiratory failure, especially those who have Covid 19 as per the latest international standards of care. 15 of our doctors assigned to emergency and ICU had the opportunity to participate in this specialized training.

Conferences offering training such as this empower medical staff, empower them to better care for patients with respiratory failure and equip them with the skills to act in emergency situations.St Luke Hospital received a delegation from GSD Healthcare - Powerpoint presentation
